Because of her endless and ever-changing subject matter, nature is my inspiration. Making my home in southern Wisconsin, I am constantly challenged by the change of seasons, abundant wildlife, and a landscape that presents new and exciting subject matter. I am a work in progress and enjoy experimenting with the exciting mediums available to artists today. Acrylic has risen to the top as my most used tool because it suits my style of painting and the speed in which it dries allows me to layer quickly. I love learning new things and every painting is an opportunity to do that. I paint that which catches my eye and inspires me. My work is a study of the way light transforms the subject matter and creates an emotional connection with the viewer, a place where we can come together and appreciate the beauty of the world in which we live.
