During this last bit of challenge referred to as the pandemic, I decided to dwell or "live" in positivity. In so doing I immersed myself in art of all kinds, painting, collage, cooking, and music.
Music has always held an important place in my life - listening to it and playing on the piano. Being the daughter of a gospel guitarist it seemed natural for me to pick up the guitar, it's in my blood.
I now call myself a guitarist, not because I'm good at it, mind you, but because I play and enjoy it. I even sing a bit - those old songs I remember from my Dad - the songs that bring joy to my heart and soothe my soul.
The lesson I've learned here is we should do those things we love and we should encourage those around us to do the same because there is joy in the process, and having that experience is the most important goal.
